Dr.-Ing. Naseem Uddin

Dr.-Ing. Naseem Uddin is a Senior Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Programme at Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Brunei.

 In 2008 he obtained the Doktor-Ingenieur (Dr.-Ing.) (Doctor-Engineer) degree from the Institute of Aerospace Thermodynamics, Universität Stuttgart. He was consecutively awarded PhD Fellowship from 2004 till 2008 by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan and Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD), Germany.

In the doctoral studies he was mainly involved in the simulation and modeling of complex turbulent flows. Dr.-Ing. Naseem Uddin has done LES computations of complex turbulent flows (impinging jet flows, flow over periodic ribs, flow over a backward-facing step, flow through square duct) also in collaboration with the WKS project funded by German Agency Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). Previously he worked as  Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi.

His research interests include turbulence modeling and simulation,  power generation from rivers, heat transfer by nano-fluids, impinging jets etc.

Dr. Naseem is a recognized chartered engineering by Engineers Australia and Institution of Mechanical Engineers UK. He is also list in national engineering register NER of Australia. He is recognized as professional engineer by Board of professional engineers of Queensland, Australia and by Pakistan Engineering Council. He is University appointed liaison officer for University Teknologi Brunei and IMechE, Brunei.
